I’ve always been in love with smoothies. I think they are an amazing way to incorporate fruits and even veggies into your everyday diet. The thing I love most about smoothies though is that you can pack them with protein! I am always looking for new way to get good protein into my diet, to help my muscles recover, and smoothies are the perfect way for me to use my Whey protein.
Berries are also full of wonderful antioxidants, and this smoothie recipe calls for two types of berries, strawberries and blueberries. Lemon juice adds a light and refreshing taste to this smoothie and adding a scoop of Whey protein gives it a nice little kick.
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 2 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 scoop Cellucor Strawberry Milkshake Whey Protein
- 1/2 cup vanilla soy-milk (or any nut milk of choice)
- Fresh berries for garnish (optional)
Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a cup or mason jar and top with fresh berries, lemon slices, or mint leaves!
